Kind of annoying how you can’t embed non-youtube/dailymotion stuff on here. Here is the new video to Kid CuDi’s “Day ‘N’ Nite”, directed by So Me (who also directed the videos for Kanye West’s “Good Life” and Justice’s “D.A.N.C.E.”). This animation-over-actual-footage business reminds me a lot of the rotoscoping technique Richard Linklater uses in some of his films. I like it because it’s simple and organic; it adds a lot of entertainment value at a very fundamental level.
