Minneapolis’s all girl pop punk act, Sick Of Sarah has pushed onto the scene with award after award. Their music has been described as being able to “combine driving electric rock with sympathetic acoustic moments…and they have an ever-present sense of humor.” They said their influences range from Joan Jett to Vanessa Carlton along with many others. Their record label, Adamant has said lead singer, Abisha Uhl, “will sing every song like its the greatest thing anyones ever heard.” After two full lengths and two EPs Sick Of Sarah released their self-titled album on Adamant. They also won Summerfests Best Emerging artist in 2008 after previously winning MTV’s virtual Kaya’s battle of the bands. They also received a “Buzzcatcher” story in Spin Magazine.
