Hey, you should read this. ‘Cause it might seem crazy. But Huey Mack’s performing. So come to The Sett maybe?
It’s a poor rendition of “Call Me Maybe,” but i’m sure you get the point. Which is, Huey Mack, who grabbed the attention of Youtube viewers with his cover of “Call Me Maybe” by Carly Rae Jepsen, is performing at The Sett this October. This 19 year old however has added more music to his repertoire. His latest album, A Boy Named Hue, that was released this past April of 2012 shows Huey Mack’s growth as a hip-hop artist. For example, the song “Just Me” has slick lyrics over a happy beat in the background. Like we already said, make your way over to The Sett for this performance because you won’t want to miss this opportunity on October 13th.
But hold on, save some of your excitement for the reggae/dub group Dubtonic Kru who will be performing in October as well. Originating from Jamaica, Dubtonic Kru embraces a true reggae sound with the addition of unique lyrics and instrumental interpretation of the genre. To add to their already steller musician talent, Dubtonic Kru was awarded “Best New Band In The World 2010-2011″ at the Global Battle of the Bands back in 2011. Their latest single “Murderer” was released in anticipation of their upcoming album. Let’s all jam together and feel the rhythm of Dubtonic Kru. They will also perform with Kool Johnny Kool and DJ Trichome.
